Welcome to the statewide Angelo del Toro Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute (PR/HYLI) website!
Here you will find general information about all phases of this program, its goals, and a biography of Assemblyman Angelo del Toro. In addition, there are links to the 12 delegations represented from across New York State, facts about the 20 Hispanic countries in the Americas, and an outline of the training delegates receive with lists of resources and materials. There are also comments from former participants, chaperones, trainers, legislators and administrators, as well as information about PR/HYLI alumni.
"The point of this conference is to say to you that you can do it too....you can influence public policies and state policies. You can influence how the government and how society goes on. And that's very important."
--Angelo Del Toro, 1991
